And yet another beginning... welcome :)

I would like to welcome you to my fuel economy blog.

As you will notice, my interests in the realm of automotive topics range from vehicle technology to the human engineering aspect and everything else in between. Indeed, human engineering really intrigues me particularly the human behavior and how it affects the relationship of the vehicle with our environment.

As an engineer, the aspect of fuel economy whether determined by technology or human behavior is hardly foreign to me since this it something that comes with the territory. To this effect, I have never owned a large or opulent vehicle and I have always looked at technological efficiency as the primary determinant of my automotive preferences.

Yes, I have a chronic dislike for large vehicles unless these are for commercial, military or industrial use. Using these for regular commuting and leisure is a serious challenge for me to accept and obviously my goal is to demonstrate through example that such vehicular use is not only not sustainable but also not required at all.

I am a happy hybrid owner and I do not intend to ever replace these vehicles with anything less. Reliability, technology, lower emissions, lower TCO's are just some of the primary benefits. But so is the measured use of our resources as the main underlying criteria for not only having chosen hybrid vehicles but also encouraging others to do the same.

In any case, you'll also find many of my articles and various other community contributions in various places around the web. Please check www.CleanMPG.com and www.Hybridcars.com for
more.

God bless and good luck.
